Cahaba Medical giving COVID-19 vaccinations April 6

Cahaba Medical Care will hold a COVID-19 vaccination event on April 6 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 10045 US-82 in Maplesville.

Appointments are recommended and can be made at www.cahabamedicalcare.com.

Vaccines will be given from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Walk-ups to the event will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, according to a Cahaba Medical Care press release.

The Maplesville is one of several that Cahaba is holding this week, but it is the only one in Chilton County.

According to the Cahaba Medical website, vaccines at these events are open to People 55 & older, Healthcare workers, First Responders & Frontline essential workers (including firefighters, police officers, corrections officers, Food and agriculture workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, teachers, support staff members, child care workers), those with high-risk conditions those working in Transportation and logistics, waste and wastewater, food service, shelter and housing, (e.g. construction), finance (e.g. bank tellers), information technology and communication, energy, legal, media, and public safety (e.g. engineers).

According to Cahaba Medical’s Centreville location, the vaccine will be one of the two dose varieties and another event will be scheduled for second does at the same location.
