Chilton County Schools has announced that schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, March 17, admit concern of inclement weather.

Weather projections on March 16 put Chilton County forecast strong storms with the possibility of tornadoes the afternoon of March 17. According to the National Weather Service, winds could reach up to 80 mph

“Students will be on two hour delay on Thursday. Employees will report to school at 9 am on Thursday. Prayers for safety for all!,” Chilton County School Superintendent Jason Griffin said.

All residents are encouraged to have an emergency plan in place.
