Georgia Joel Cleckler Mims Easterling, 82, of Clanton, Alabama passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Chilton Hospital Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.

She was born August 10, 1938 in Alabama, daughter of the late Elijah Cleckler

She was a homemaker for most of her life, but also worked as a home health caregiver for Vaughn Chilton.

She was married to William Aurbin Mims for 40 years before he passed. Jerry Easterling before he passed.

Surviving are her daughters, Darlene (Robbie) Williams; daughter, Sandra Williamson, Barbara Boswell and Ann (Curtis) Thibodeaux, son, William Matthew Mims; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews as well as special friends U.L. and Martha Faye Tracey and best friend and cousin Shirley Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Aubin Mims of Clanton, her son William Aubin Mims of Clanton, husband Jerry Easterling of Clanton, her father Elijah Cleckler, brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Joel Mims Easterling was laid to rest Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 in a private family service with Curtis Thibodeaux officiating.
