It was the battle of the Red Devils in boys basketball on Feb. 9

Maplesville defeated Verbena 49 to 35 in the area tournament.

Jackson Abbott had a good night of scoring for Maplesville as he raked in 23 points. He also had 16 rebounds during the game.

Caleb Hobbs lead Maplesville in assists with 5.

The basketball season ended for the Jemison Girls basketball team on Feb 8.

The team lost to Elmore County, who won 36 – 35.

Jemison boys basketball team also lost its area tournament game on Feb. 9.

The Chilton County High School boys basketball team ended the season with a loss to Pelham, 68-40, on Feb. 10.
