Lanette Little Padgett, 93, surrounded by family, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday.

Lanette was known to most as Memommie, the matriarch of a large family, the one who served others. She leaves a legacy of kindness, compassion, generosity and a servant’s heart unmatched by any other.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Morris Edward Padgett, Sr., and grandson and wife Dylan and Melissa Barry; brothers, Honrie and Preston Little. Survived by daughters, Kay (Guy) Ray, Lynn (Willis) Johnson, Joyce (David) Melton, and son, Morris (Debbie) Padgett Jr., 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ray, Braley Ray, Will Johnson, Sawyer Ray, Stone Ray, Trey Padgett, Zeke Barry, Gavin Padgett, Josh Padget, Rivers Michele, Carter Johnson, and Winston Johnson.
