The unemployment rate in Chilton County for December 2020 decreased to 2.9%. With several manufacturing and industrial complexes within the county, local industries are able to provide local residents with employment opportunities close to home.
O-Flex Metal Finishing is hosting a hiring event this week and will hire multiple individuals to fill various jobs within the company.
O-Flex’s event will be Feb. 8 and Feb. 9, from 9-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. Applicants should meet in the company lobby at the designated times, located at 725 Keystone Drive in Clanton.
“We are looking to hire several positions within the company including quality techs, inspectors, rack movers, rackers and for our assembly department,” said Human Resource Manager, Stefanie Player. “We will provide training for all of the positions. It isn’t hard. You don’t need previous experience. We are just looking for individuals that are willing to work.”
The various positions within the company include benefits, insurance, 401K and vacation days after the first 60 days of employment.
Local job staffing agency, Automation Personal Services, located at 236 Townmart in Clanton also has multiple industrial companies that are looking to hire.
“In Clanton, we have many industrial jobs that need to be filled such as assembly,” said Agency Manager, Heidi Nelson. “We also are in need of certain skilled workers such as die fitters and fork-lift operators.”
Additionally, KMA Manufacturing is hiring for various positions with benefits. Applicants are asked to apply online at kumi-na.com/alabama/jobs or call 205-280-1265 ext. 4176.
