Sandra Faye McCall White, 63, longtime resident of Verbena, Alabama passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born in Polk County, North Carolina and the daughter of the late Billy Phillip and Martha Ann Garrett McCall of Mill Spring, North Carolina. Sandra attended Polk Central High School and was a former member of Faith Baptist Church, Mill Spring, North Carolina. She was a longtime employee of Shoney’s in Clanton, where she and her husband, Bruce, made their home. Sandra loved meeting people and many became lifelong friends.

Sandra is preceded in death by her father Billy Phillip McCall, mother Martha Ann Garrett McCall and brother James Phillip McCall (Susan) in Marion, North Carolina. Surviving is her husband Bruce White of Verbena and sister Wanda Gorges (Dennis) of Brentwood, Tennessee. She has one nephew, Andrew (Andy) McCall (Brandi) and their four children of Nebo, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at 2:30 p.m., from the chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.  A gathering of friends will take place from 1p.m. to 2:30p.m. before the service.
