Wayne Wilson, 74 of Clanton passed away on December 19 at his residence.  He was born in Chilton County on April 11, 1946; son of the late Sam Wilson and the late Olivia Gilliland Wilson.

He was a very smart man of many talents.

He attended Cedar Grove Church in Thorsby.  He and Kay enjoyed attending services, singings, and fellowship there.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kay Thornton Wilson; step sons, Anthony Ellison and Lonnie Ellison; daughters, Rena (Joey) Cleckler and Rochelle Gibson; son Jeffrey Wilson; sister, Elaine (Cliff) Clark; uncle, Harold (Judy) Gilliland; nephew, Mike Norris; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a very special great-great grandchild.
