Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center is asking for donations from Chilton County residents on Giving Tuesday.

“Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on,” Butterfly Bridge stated in a press release.

The nonprofit organization’s goal this Giving Tuesday is to raise $5,000, which would provide comprehensive services for two child abuse victims.

The services would include a forensic interview, family advocacy and therapy for the victims.

“Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500,” Butterfly Bridge Executive Director Jana Zuelzke said. “Every little bit helps.”

Giving Tuesday is an initiative created in 2012 widely known as a global generosity movement encouraging communities to give back to their local non-profit organizations.

It is held annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

Butterfly Bridge’s mission is to offer a safe and child-friendly environment to help provide justice and restore the lives of children that have been abused or neglected.

“We are in the business of giving children their childhoods back, and you can join us by donating,” Zuelzke said. “Thank you for your support.”
