For the 35th consecutive year, the Chilton County Emergency Assistance Center is holding a food drive for the people of Chilton County.
The food drive began Nov. 2 and will end Dec. 14.
All donations will help families in need of food due to having experienced an emergency that makes it difficult to put a meal on the table.
The center is asking for residents throughout Chilton County to get involved and provide for the cause.
There are many ways that local residents can help, including donating non-perishable food items, making a monetary donation or helping organize a food drive at their work, school or church.
Food donations can be dropped off at the center, which is located at 502 Enterprise Road in Clanton.
Due to the pandemic, the center is currently open every other week Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Monetary donations can be mailed to CCEAC, P.O. Box 1305, Clanton, AL 35046.
For more information about the food drive or ways to get involved, contact the center at 205-755-9467 or food drive chairman Donny Finlayson at 205-755-7062.
