The Clanton Planning Commission has approved a rezoning request for 1309 Second Avenue N from R3 (Multi-Family Residential) to R1B (Single Family Residential).
The request will be considered for final approval by the Clanton City Council on Sept. 28, according to Susan Rickles of the building department.
The request was made by Carloyn Bland of United Prison Ministries, and the approval was unanimous.
The Planning Commission also unanimously approved a plan for “Red Wheel Storage,” contingent on receiving the required architectural drawings. The plan presented by Keith Cantley outlined plans for a storage facility with 4,200 square feet being climate controlled and an additional 5,100 square feet without climate control.
