James Marion “Jimmy” Thomas, 94, of Clanton passed away Aug. 1, 2020.

He was born July 2, 1926 in Walker Jasper, Alabama, son of Henry Thomas and Viola Thomas.

He was a Military and Police Officer.

Surviving are his son Phil (Kathy) Thomas, daughter Glynis Thomas, daughter, Marian (Bruce) Mims, son Paul (Margaret) Thomas, granddaughter Lynn Gassaway, granddaughter Laura Jones, grandson Philip Thomas, granddaughter Kyla Patton, granddaughter Morgan Guthas, brother, Harold D. Thomas and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by him wife Loris Gaynell “Nell” Nelson Thomas, father Henry Thomas, mother Viola Perry Thomas, brother Harvey Thomas, sister Pauline Jessop, sister Christine Carlisle, sister Louise Williams.

Friends will be received Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020 from 10-11 a.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist.

Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist with Kent Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, Alabama.
