Absentee voting available for Aug. 4 special election

Those living in House District 49 that need to vote by “absentee” ballot in the Aug. 4 election for House District 49 Representative need to call the Circuit Clerk’s Office at 205-755-4275 to request an application for an Absentee Ballot.

If you are voting “absentee” because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, you need to check the second box on the application as the reason for voting “absentee” and include a copy of photo ID. The last day t apply for an Absente Ballot for the election is July 30.

This Aug, 4 special election is being held to fill the seat vacated by Rep. April Weaver.

Only those in House District 49 are eligible to vote in this election. This includes Providence North (Precinct 170), Mars Hill (Precinct 180) and parts of Isabella and Jemison.
