Barbara Jean Ellison, 73, of Jemison, Alabama passed away June 17, 2020 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton, Alabama.

She was born January 2, 1947 in Alabama, she was the daughter of Leon Dunaway and Ruth Dunaway.

She was a housewife that loved and cared for her family.

Surviving are her son, Rodney (Tara) Ellison; daughter, Jada Ellison; grandson, Josh (Stephanie) Akers; granddaughters, Amber (Bryant) Phelps, Katie Ellison, Tiffany (Kyle) Prather and Molleigh Akers; sister, JoAnne (Charles) Cummings; nephew, Clint (Stacey) Cummings; niece, Marti (Frankie) Smith; nephew, Bo Dunaway, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie C. Ellison; father, Leon Boyd Dunaway, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Ruth Dunaway; brother, Leon Boyd Dunaway, Jr..

Friends will be received Friday, June 19, 2020 from 2-3 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Jemison, Alabama.

Services will be held Friday, June 19, 2020, at 3 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with Brother Donald Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Cemetery in Jemison, Alabama.
