Several reclassifications were approved by the Chilton County Commission during its meeting on May 26.
Many of the reclassifications concerned personnel decisions with the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office.
Britney Burnett, Ambrea Smith and Dakota Jones were reclassified as full-time corrections officers, while Samantha Delauder became a full-time member of courthouse security with the Sheriff’s Office.
Jordan Jones was reclassified from part-time to a full-time maintenance man with the county.
All four positions were approved at an hourly pay rate.
T&N Bait Shop received permission for its convenience store and package store to advertise for public hearing for alcohol licenses.
The advertisement for alcohol licenses was unanimously approved by the five commissioners present at the meeting. Commissioners Jimmie Hardee and Greg Moore were absent.
The Commission also approved a resolution allowing $67,914 in line item transfers in the county’s gasoline fund.
Commissioner Joe Headley offered up the possibility of resurfacing County Road 839, County Road 232 West and County Road 32.
The resurfacing discussion was tabled for a future work session.
The Commission is also looking into possible grant applications designated for storm shelters.
June 9 is the next scheduled Commission meeting.
