Jerry Dean Hess, 82, of Clanton, Alabama, passed away April 28, 2020, at his residence.

He was born August 12, 1937, in Harrisonville, Missouri, son of Joseph Hess and Dorothy George Hess.

He retired from the United States Army after 23 years as a Master Sergeant.

Surviving are his Wife, Betty R. Hess, Brothers, Joe (Jeanette) Hess, Garvey (Janice Kay) Hess, Glenn (Claudine) Hess; Sister, Janice Strawbridge, Sister-in-Law, Patsy Cleckler.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph Hess, Mother, Dorothy George Hess, Twin Brother, Larry Hess, Sister, Barbara Heid.

Friends will be received Sunday, May 3, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Martin Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in The Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama.
