Allen Eugene “Gene” Nichols, 82, of Prattville, Alabama, passed away April 26, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center South, Montgomery, AL.

He was born September 22, 1937 in Selma, Alabama, son of Jessie Nichols and Audrey Nichols.

He was a Insurance Agent with Liberty National for 25 years.

Gene was “Mr. Gene” at Walmart in Prattville for 16 years and he loved God, his family, friends, and life deeply.

Surviving are his Wife, Blanch C. Nichols; Sons, Tim Nichols, Michael (Kimberly) Nichols; Granddaughters, Hannah Nichols, Sophie Nichols; Brother, Reuben (Willie) Nichols; Sister, Lorene Rogers; Sisters-in-law, Gladys (Ted) Watson, Dean (Raymond) Tyner; Brothers-in-law, Larry Wells, Buddy (Janice) Henley, Randall Henley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Jessie E. Nichols; Mother, Audrey Nichols; Son, Anthony Nichols; Brothers, Milton Nichols and Chris Nichols.

Friends will be received with restrictive attendance from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Martin Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery.
