Two students and the driver of a car were transported with minor injuries by ambulance to St. Vincent’s Chilton after a collision involving a school bus on March 12.
The students were released later that morning.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on Highway 31 near Cloverleaf Drive.
Clanton Police Department responded to the scene.
CPD Capt. David Clackley said a vehicle pulled out in front of the school bus, and the impact was at slow speed.
Parents of the students on the bus were notified.
Chilton County Schools Superintendent Jason Griffin said remaining students were taken to class.
The school system’s procedure in cases like this is for the bus driver to be drug tested immediately and placed on administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
