The Chilton County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with member businesses in Clanton to host a Valentine’s Day shopping promotion.

Participating businesses will give a card to anyone who purchases a Valentine’s Day gift from them Feb. 10-13.

Then, those who received a card may take it to the Chamber office in Clanton on Feb. 13 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Once a card is turned in, the holder will be allowed to select one of several balloons that will be at the office. Three of the balloons out of the group will hold special prizes.

The holder gets to pop the balloon and see if one of the three special prizes is inside.

These will be a box of candy from Heaton Pecan Farm, a voucher for dinner for two at Bertolone’s and a bouquet of flowers from Pinedale Gardens.

Member businesses participating in the event include Hope’s Chest Boutique, Willow 31, MorLyn’s, Rustique Relics, Edward’s Jewelers, Trendy Chic. Mulberry Hill Boutique, Heaton, Sadie’s Loft, H & M Boutique, Bertolone’s, Pinedale Gardens and Pies by Mike.

“We want to remind everyone this Valentine’s Day to shop local and to thank them for shopping at home,” said Chamber Executive Director Francine Wasden. “We thought this was a good way for the Chamber to get involved with the Valentine’s Day season.”
