Mr. Roger Walton Hill, 83, of Jemison, AL, passed away in his home on January 7, 2020. He was the dear husband of Ms. Gayle Monroe Hill. They shared 15 beautiful years of marriage together.

 

Roger was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 18, 1936, to Mr. Walton Hill and Ms. Natalye Glass.

 

Roger is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Gayle, his daughter, Madeleine Bayless (Rodney), two grandchildren, Lynnley Elaine and William Rodney Bayless, and stepsons Mike Monroe (Janelle) and Russell Monroe.

 

Roger graduated from Jemison High School in 1954. Roger belonged to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

 

Roger will be remembered by his loved ones for his kind heart, giving spirit, infectious laugh, and sense of humor.

 

Roger was loved dearly by all who knew and came into contact with him.

 

Roger will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, friends, and his community.

 

The memorial service will be held at Clanton Kingdom Hall on Sunday, January 12, beginning at 2 p.m.
