Through the Grace of God Ministries is expanding.

Sunday Hosch of the organization said they had wanted to be able to use the building next to the current facility for 10 years or so.

Recently, the building came available for purchase and a donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought the building to lease it indefinitely to the ministries.

The ministry wants to use the building as an outlet center, selling new and high-quality used items to generate revenue for the ministry.

Renovations need to be made before the nonprofit can begin using the building. Hosch said anyone who would like to make a monetary donation, volunteer or donate plumbing or electrical supplies would be appreciated.

Donations can be coordinated by calling 205-755-8199 or stop by 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday- Friday. (Calling ahead is recommended.)

The hope is that the outlet center store will provide an opportunity to provide some job skills and experience to those who are being served.

Hosch said job skills training is something that could probably benefit most of those who come for meals.

Through the Grace of God Ministries is a church with a substantial food ministry and is located at 75 Eighth St. S in Clanton.
