Industrial Park Drive in Clanton will soon have a new look after going through a planned repaving project.

The stretch of road from Lomax Drive to County Road 753 will soon be under construction and will have to be closed for safety reasons until the project is finished.

According to Clanton Mayor Billy Joe Driver, the whole road has to be torn up.

Driver said there are about five houses on the road and stated that accommodations will be made for the people living along that stretch.

Although closing the road may create an inconvenience, but Driver believes that the people along that road will also be appreciative with the finished product.

Wiregrass was awarded the bid for the project at a previous Council meeting.

The estimated time for the completion of the project is about a month.
