Charles Wayne Jones, 56 of Thorsby, passed away on June 4, 2019, at his residence.

He was born in Birmingham on July 17, 1962; the son of the late C.W. Jones and the late Betty Trimbley Jones.

He was an operations manager with Shelby Concrete Inc. He was a loving husband, father, and “Pop” to his grandchildren. He had a love for racing, and loved all sports his children and grandchildren were involved in.

He is survived by: wife, Betty B. Jones of Thorsby; son, Brian Jones of Pucallpa, Peru; son, Marcus (Kayla Endress) Jones of Chelsea; daughter, Ashley (Andy) Ellison of Clanton; daughter, Alyson (Dana) Stockton of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Daughter, Ericka Smith of Sterrett; grandsons: Jack Ellison, Luke Ellison, and Reid Ellison all of Clanton; Granddaughters: Layla Michelle Jones of Randolph, Livi Stockton and Addy Stockton of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and Charlee Ann Smith of Sterrett; sister, Hallie (Jay) Jackson of Maryville, Tennessee; sister, Karen (Perry) Collins of Jemison; and brother, Dane Clark of Florida.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby, AL.
