The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in an alleged burglary of a Valleyview store in the Maplesville area.

CCSO posted videos of the incident on its Facebook page on May 31 asking those with any information about the incident to contact the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office at 205-755-4698 or Lt. Lee Falkner of CCSO at lee.falkner@chiltoncountyso.org.

“We wanted to get it out there to see if the public may be able to identify him,” Falkner said.

Falkner said the burglary occurred in the early morning hours of May 5.

The suspect is believed to be a white male, who wore a mask and gloves during the incident.

Falkner said a “large amount of cigarettes, tobacco products and an undisclosed amount of cash” was taken from the store.
