The Gardens of Clanton has recently received multiple accolades from two different sources that review assisted living facilities around the country.
Gardens was named “Best of 2019” by SeniorAdvisor.com, the largest review and rating site for assisted living senior services in North America.
“SeniorAdvisor.com is in their sixth year of hosting the Best of Senior Living Awards, and this is the second consecutive year in which the Gardens of Clanton has received the honor,” the organization said in a release. “SeniorAdvisor.com’s Best of 2019 Award winners represent the best of the best of in-home care, assisted living, and other senior living providers, based on the online reviews written by seniors and their families. This exclusive designation honors the top 2-3 percent of senior care providers across Alabama. The annual SeniorAdvisor.com Best of Awards tabulates over 150,000 family created reviews to find the highest quality care providers for this honor. Of the nearly 45,000 communities currently listed on SeniorAdvisor.com, just over 1,600 were recognized with this prestigious award.”
According to SeniorAdvisor president and COO Eric Seifert, “To qualify for inclusion in the Best of 2019 Awards, care providers must have maintained an average overall rating of at least 4.5 stars while receiving four or more new reviews in 2018.”
SeniorAdvisor also presented The Gardens with its inaugural Caregiver Engagement Award.
The Gardens was also named No. 5 on AssistedLivingToday.com’s “Top 10 Assisted Livings in Alabama” list.
“We are so blessed and honored to be able to receive these awards knowing it means we have the best care staff taking care of our residents,” said Gardens administrator Vickie Patterson Moseley. “They are noticing it, and families are writing in telling everyone the care is wonderful. They are acknowledging the care and love we show our residents each day.”
Residents like 89-year-old Henry Doyle, who has been at The Gardens for the past nine years.
“I am very happy here,” he said. “I don’t even think about leaving. The staff is exceptionally nice. We have been blessed with the people. We really have been blessed.”
Doyle patted his stomach and said the food at The Gardens is “too good.”
The Gardens of Clanton is home to 16 residents.
“It’s about the communication, the one on one and the love we are giving them,” Moseley said. “With a small facility of 16, you can have a better relationship with each resident that you don’t get at a larger facility. They teach you so much. They have taught me to be a better administrator. I have been extremely blessed and honored for the past 14 years here. We give God all the glory for our rewards.”
