Kenneth Ray Dunn, Sr.

Kenneth Ray Dunn, Sr., was born December 24, 1940. The oldest child of David C. and Annie Dunn of Uriah, Alabama, he served 4 years in the United States Army after graduating high school. When he left the Army he became a truck driver and drove until he retired in 2014. In 1965 he married Betty Littleton and together, they raised their five children. They were married for 29 years until she passed away in 1994. He was diagnosed with cancer in November and after a few short weeks passed away on December 24, 2018, at the age of 78.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Ray (Joy) Dunn, Jr., of Jemison, AL; daughters, Gwen Taylor of Jemison, AL, Kim (Eddie) Day of Jemison, AL; daughter-in-laws, Wanda Carroll of Clanton, AL, Leah Wilkins of Clanton, AL; brothers, Bill Dunn and Wesley (Vicki) Dunn both of Uriah, Alabama. 11 grandchildren & 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dunn; sons, Rodney Carroll & Keith Wilkins; son-in-law, Mike Taylor; parents, David C. and Annie Dunn; brother, Dale Dunn; and sister, Barbara McCord.
Visitation was Wednesday, December 26, 2018, from 5 – 7 pm at Martin Funeral Home.
Services were Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at The Church at Robinson Springs with Rev. David Farris, Rev. Harold Farris, Rev. Bobby Littleton & Rev. Jacob Day officiating. Burial is in Robinson Springs Cemetery.
