Classics and modern favorites will be on display for this year’s Maplesville Cruise-in organized by local business owner Sergio Sanchez.
From 2 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 17, Main Street will be closed and lined with cars, trucks and motorcycles for the public to enjoy.
Sanchez said the event is open to any vehicle from the 1950s to modern day. Owners can simply show up and register the day of the event.
“This is basically to bring life to downtown Maplesville,” Sanchez said.
Sanchez, who owns Valle Grande Mexican Restaurant on Main Street, first organized the event last year. He said it is designed to “allow kids to see cars they have never seen before and for adults to see the cars they remember” and relive the memories.
“It was great to see people walking around,” Sanchez said of last year’s event. “It was really exciting.”
Last year’s event featured everything from antique cars to Corvettes.
This year, Sanchez said his cousin will be bringing his 1967 Mustang Shelby GT 500.
Everyone that brings a car to show and registers will receive 50 percent off at Valle Grande Mexican Restaurant on Main Street.
