After an hour-long weather delay the Thorsby Rebels and Verbena Red Devils finally got to meet at midfield to get play underway.

Thorsby would go onto defeat its county foe 46-0 to earn its second win of the season. Verbena falls to 0-1.

Both teams saw early fumbles fall into the hands of the opponent due to the wet conditions caused by the rains that hit Chilton County during the night.
It would be a fourth and four blocked punt for the Red Devils that would set Thorsby up inside the Verbena red zone that would later result in the first points of the game thanks to an 11-yard touchdown run by Christian Fortner.
Late in the first, Thorsby led 8-0.
With the Red Devils going three and out on their ensuing possession, the forced punt would be fielded by Tyler Jackson, who would return the punt 54 yards for another touchdown that would extend the Rebels lead to 16-0 late in the first quarter.
After a third weather delay, the Rebels would prove to have lost none of their fire as Fortner would bounce off the left side of the line and scamper 59 yards for another Thorsby touchdown.
A 15-yard touchdown carry by Timothy Birchfield late in the first half put the Rebels up 34-0 at the halftime break en route to the THS victory.
