Clients with Alfa Insurance in Jemison will not have to go far to visit the business’s new location. In fact, it might even seem a bit familiar.

Alfa has moved back to the location where it once sat, but the venue has changed.

The business hosted a ribbon cutting and open house Aug. 12 so residents could take a look at the new office.

“We had moved to a different location,” said district manager Dusty Ellison. “We felt like we had to do something else, because the building had been there for a long time. We decided to make a change. We moved across the road. We worked something out with Marion Bank and decided to come back to our original location here where we were.”

Marion Bank & Trust and the new Alfa office, which shares the site, are located at 24747 U.S. Highway 31 beside Jemison City Hall. The office opened on April 25.

“Our corporate has been upgrading some of our buildings,” Ellison said. “I worked here back in 2001, and (the old office building) really needed a lot of work. As part of our corporate moving forward, we decided to upgrade. That’s the reason why we did this. I’m happy for my former coworkers to get to see them working in such a beautiful office.”

Ellison said that Alfa offers residents in Chilton County “plenty of service area” thanks to its multiple locations.

“Just in Chilton County now we have four offices,” he said. “We have two in Clanton, one in Jemison and one in Maplesville. We offer home, auto, commercial and life insurance, and even health. We have a broad variety of products we offer clients. We have great service with our customer service reps. Most of them know the people in our community very well. They’re on a first-name basis with a lot of them.

“We also have support from our home office in Montgomery. We will probably soon have claims in our office. We will have a claims adjuster and a claims CSR. We try to make it convenient and simple for our clients to do business with us. That’s who we are; we’re your neighbor.”

Residents who are clients with Alfa are able to use any of the branches in Chilton County no matter which is their home office.

“We want our customers in Chilton County to know that we are right there,” Ellison said. “They are just down the road from all of our locations. We are spread out really well, so it all works out very well. Customers might live in Maplesville but work in Jemison, so they will come in the Jemison office to make payments. They can go wherever is convenient for them, and that’s what we want.”
