LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is hosting a blood drive at the Clanton Walmart July 26 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Donations will also be taken the same day at the Chilton County Health Department from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The health department is located at 301 Health Center Drive in Clanton.

According to the LifeSouth website, “To give blood you must be in good health, 17 years or older (or 16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and show a valid photo I.D.”

All blood types are needed at this time, per a press release from the organization.
