James Charles Owens, 61, of Jemison, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

He was born Thursday, January 17, 1957, in Alabama, son of the late William Hester Owens and the late Dorothy Weeks Owens.

He was employed with Doster Construction Company Inc. for 22 years.

Surviving are wife, Anita Owens of Jemison, Alabama; son, Dustin (Nicole) Owens of Jemison, Alabama; daughter, Jennifer (Shane) Hicks of Jemison, Alabama; grandsons, Dalton Owens and Garrett Hicks; granddaughters, Ava Grace Owens and Anna Kate Hicks; brother, Randy (Gail) Owens of Jemison, Alabama; sister, Debbie (Donnie) Allen of Jemison, Alabama; Aunt, Clydell Bice of Jemison, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Owens, nephews, Bryant Owens, Heath Foshee, Trae Cobb and niece, Morgan Cobb.

Friends will be received from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Thomson Chapel Assembly of God Church. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Bolton and Rev. Jeremy Davis officiating.   Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison, Alabama.
