Jeanette Mims Teel

Jeanette Mims Teel, 81, of Clanton died Sunday, June 3, 2018.

She was born Monday, June 8, 1936, in Chilton Co., daughter of the late James Lloyd Mims and the late Neacie Smith Mims.

She was a Homemaker.

Surviving are husband, John D. Teel of Clanton, Alabama; sons, Ricki (Caroline) Teel of Faunsdale, Alabama, and Rennie (April) Teel of Clanton, Alabama; daughter, Joy Teel Cleckley of Clanton, Alabama; grandsons, Tim (LeAnn) Teel of Demopolis, Alabama, Hunter Cleckley of Clanton, Alabama, John Will Cleckley of Clanton, Alabama and Justin (Karla O.) Teel of Clanton, Alabama; granddaughters, Amy Cleckley (Chance) Calloway of Clanton, Alabama and Jerrico (Kevin) Smitherman of Clanton, Alabama; great grandchildren, Maddie Grace Teel, Carly Teel, Elliot Teel, Ryan Calloway, Colin Smitherman, Aiden Smitherman and Avery Claire Smitherman; a host of nieces, nephews and a special double first cousin, Joe Mims.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Martin Funeral Home.  Services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. D. Bruce Willis and Rev. Matt DeBord officiating. Interment will follow in Thorsby Memory Gardens, Thorsby, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest a memorial be made to the American Cancer Society, Salvation Army or Relay for Life.
