West End Baptist Church in Clanton is hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser for missions June 2, from 6 to 11 a.m. at the church’s Family Center.
Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
“This will be the first time they’ve done this,” Jan Fike, administrative assistant at the church, said.
Fike said the money will benefit the church’s missions group WHAM: We Have A Mission.
Funds will help “send more people out into the mission field to spread the Word of God,” according to WHAM committee member Becky Parker.
WHAM has served locally, nationally and abroad, Fike said.
The group is gearing up for its next trip to Blackey, Kentucky, to help lead Vacation Bible School with a partner organization.
“They leave out on June 9, so it’ll actually be a week after the pancake breakfast,” Parker said.
In July, a group of recent high school graduates from West End Baptist will travel to Brooklyn, New York, for mission work.
For more information or to purchase advance tickets, call the church office at (205) 755-0625.
Advance tickets can be picked up at the church, located at 2005 Second Avenue North.
