The Jemison Elementary School parking lot will feature some unique vehicles on May 4 when Touch-A-Truck takes on Career Day and excited elementary students.
Vehicles from the police department, fire department, tractor stores, Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, Chilton County S.W.A.T. and more will be strutting their tires for rotating groups of students, starting at about 8:15 a.m. and concluding around 2 p.m.
“Most of them are local, and some are coming from out of county,” Guidance Counselor Kara Cleckley said of the vehicular visitors.
Cleckley and Guidance Counselor Teresa Knott tag-teamed to coordinate and organize the event to complement this year’s Career Day.
Children will have the opportunity to interact closely with the vehicles and learn about various trades from company representatives.
