First Assembly of God in Clanton is hosting its 11th annual spring craft and vendor show on May 5, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the church’s Dennis House, located next door to the church.
Weather permitting, it will be the first time to host the event outside.
Event coordinator and church office administrator Delonna Hutto said the event was formerly a ladies’ tea, but expanded for a broader impact and even moved outside this year to try something different.
The church anticipates around 25 vendors with a variety of items, many of which are not sold locally, for guests to purchase.
Attendance is free.
Vendor fees will help fund the church’s “greatest-need” projects, while proceeds from vendor sales will support the vendors.
“We’re going to have all sorts of things,” Hutto said.
Vendor items include boutique merchandise, shoes, children’s clothing, jewelry, makeup and more.
Besides vendor sales, children’s ministries will be selling carnival food to benefit their ministries.
The “kid-friendly” event will have something for everyone, Hutto said.
“If this goes well this year, I want to make it bigger next year,” Hutto said.
