Senior Connection in Clanton (near Fred’s in Park Plaza) will be hosting a $5 masquerade jewelry and accessories sale April 23 through April 25.

“We have been doing [the jewelry sale] probably about 10 years now,” said Senior Connection director Vanessa McKinney. “We started at the old hospital. When we moved in here, the vendor agreed to come here because we have such great membership. He normally does just hospitals. We have over 600 members. We try to get the word out to the community when we have them because it’s good and everyone loves it.”

Each item in the sale will be the same price.

“Everything is $5, from jewelry to clothing, bags and purses,” McKinney said. “There are things for men, women and children. With Mother’s Day coming up you could get a lot of neat little gifts for your mom.”

The sale will run April 23 and April 24 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and April 25 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds benefit Senior Connection.

Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted.

“It has been here for four years,” McKinney said. “We try to have two a year. It is one of our top fundraisers.”
