Lorene Porter Ellison

Lorene Porter Ellison, 83, of Jemison died Saturday, March 10 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born on Monday, June 4, 1934 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Walter Porter and the late Mary Ann Ellison Porter.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Janice (Randall) Chandler; grandson, David (Erin) Chandler; granddaughter, Christina (Jake) Andrews; great-grandson, Jonah Andrews; great-granddaughter, Quintin Chandler; sister, Jewel Ray; and brother, Glenn Porter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge “Bud” Ellison; parents, Walter and Mary Ann Porter; son, Larry Ellison; daughter, Jeanette Ellison; great-grandson, Asher Andrews; brothers, Leonard, Tom, James and Oneal Porter; and sisters, Leona Scott, Lucille Robinson, Lillie Mae Robinson, and Betty Wesson.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, March 14 at Martin Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Jake Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison.
