The Clanton Church of Christ Children/Ministry is hosting a free glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt, set for March 18, from 5-7 p.m. at the church.
The ministry hopes to give a taste of the church to the community while including the community in the church’s fun, according to Amy Jolley of Clanton Church of Christ.
Jolley is the children’s ministry director.
A worship service will kick off festivities at 5 p.m., with a complimentary hot dog and sandwich supper and dessert to follow around 6:15 p.m. The egg hunt will commence around 7 p.m., allowing enough time for darkness with the new time change.
Guests are encouraged to “bring your own basket” for collecting the glow-in-the-dark eggs.
“They make small, little glow sticks for Easter eggs now, and so that’s what we’re going to put in them,” Jolley said. “And we’ll have glow-in-the-dark bracelets and necklaces for the kids to wear, and we’re going to have a few games, too.”
Jolley said glow-in-the-dark wiffle ball and glow-in-the-dark bubbles are a couple of the activities in store for the evening.
Clanton Church of Christ is located at 1111 Lay Dam Rd.
