MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash at 6:50 a.m. today, Feb. 2, claimed the life of a Clanton woman. Janet Garren, 42, was killed when the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Garren was pronounced dead a short time later at UAB Hospital. The crash occurred onAlabama 191 at the two mile marker, approximately five miles east of Maplesville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
