Linda Rae Childress Hawkins

Linda Rae Childress Hawkins, 66, of Jemison died Saturday, Jan. 6 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1951 in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Raymond Childress and the late Ernestine Robinson Childress.

She was an entrepreneur.

Surviving are her husband, Charlie Hawkins of Jemison; daughter, Mandy Hawkins; sister-in-laws, Gail Gorham and Jane Hawkins; brother-in-laws, Allen (Charlene) Hawkins and Marlin Hawkins; chosen daughters, Michelle “Missy” (Kelly) Parker and Michelle (Paul) Smith; nephews, Paul Levering and Dylan Levering; precious puppies, Hunter, Gi Gi, Ali and Bucky; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 12-1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Midway Memorial Gardens with Bro. Justin Smith officiating.
