Rebecca Jane Martin

Rebecca Jane Martin, 76, of Thorsby died Friday, Dec. 8 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born on Saturday, Aug. 23, 1941 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Carlton Collins and the late Minnie Merle Smith Collins.

She was an owner/operator.

Surviving are her husband, Zane Martin of Thorsby; son, Roy (Patti) Martin of Clanton; grandchildren, Zackery Martin, Nathan Martin, Isiac Martin, Ben Martin, Sadie Grace Martin, and Gracie Woodfin; and sister, Mary Ella Woodfin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Minnie Merle Collins; son, Richard Martin; and brother, James William Collins.

Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11 at West End Baptist Church. Services will be held Monday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Martin and Rev. James Watkins officiating.
