Isabella, Thorsby exit playoffs

It was a tough night for both Isabella and Thorsby, as its football seasons came to an abrupt end in the second round of the state playoffs.
Both teams faced a tough test having to go on the road after playing at home and handling business in the first round.
Isabella lost 55-19 to Wadley in Class 1A, while Thorsby fell 42-8 to Goshen.
For the second straight year the Mustangs won a game in the playoffs but came up short in the second round.
Thorsby had a magical season in many ways under first year coach Daryl Davis, especially after a one-win season the year before.
The Rebels led 8-7 thanks to a successful two-point conversion early in the contest, but that was all the points that it could manage.
It was an uphill battle from the start for Isabella against Wadley.
Despite failing to advance, a trip to the third round of the playoffs is nothing to diminish.
Both programs have obviously turned things around and done so in a short period of time.
The future is hard to predict, but it appears to be headed in the right direction for both Isabella and Thorsby under its current leadership.
