Mae Willie Bussie

Mae Willie Bussie, 97, of Verbena died Sunday, Oct. 1 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

She was born on Friday, Sept. 3, 1920 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Robert Lewis and the late Effie Hilyer Lewis.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughters, Patsy Price of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Wanda (Keith) Moore of Clanton; grandchildren, Navita Ellison, Megan Moore, Shunn Ellison, Sonora White, Sonseria Moore, Carl Williams, Brenna Davis, and Laura Williams; 22 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Bussie; son, Billy Bussie; son-in-law, Ronnie Moore; numerous brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery, Verbena.
