Michael Wayne Nichols

Michael Wayne Nichols, age 58, of Jemison, passed away at home Sunday, July 9.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lucas Nichols.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Pamela Nichols; his son, Matthew Pike; his daughter, Alisha Andreas; his father, Gordon Douglas Nichols; and his sister, Susan Mitchell. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

In his final weeks, he was surrounded by many friends and family members especially Mike and Patti Deale along with Beth, and Robby. And special thanks to Steve Williams for his continued loving encouragement.

Michael was a Master Mason at Central Lodge #70 in Montevallo. He was a member of the National Guard, and a committed Christian and member of Providence Baptist Church. He was also exceptionally skilled as an artist and a musician along with serving as a nurse and golf instructor.

There will be a visitation for Michael on Thursday, July 13 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church. His funeral service will be at 12 p.m. with burial to follow in Enon Baptist Cemetery.
