Roy Earl Messer

Roy Earl Messer, 76, of Clanton died Wednesday, April 26 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Alabaster.

He was born on Sunday, June 23, 1940 in Alabama, son of the late Hubert Oliver Messer and the late Margie Grant Moore Messer.

He was an electronic tech.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Messer of Clanton; daughter, Monica (Todd) Cooper of Clanton; granddaughters, Alexandra Cooper of Clanton, Morgan Cooper of Clanton, Madeleine McAllister of Richmond, Virginia, Abigail McAllister of Richmond, Virigina, and Claire McAllister of Richmond, Virginia; son-in-law, Andy McAllister of Richmond, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Messer McAllister.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Matt DeBord and Rev. Kenny Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery, Clanton.
