Tractor Supply in Clanton will be hosting its semi-annual 4-H fundraiser April 26 to May 7.

Customers can visit the business and participate in the 12-day event by purchasing a paper clover cutout, the symbol associated with the 4-H program, with a donation of $1 or more at the checkout.

The proceeds raised will go towards providing scholarships to send 4-H members in Chilton County to camps and leadership conferences throughout the nation.

According to a press release, the first fundraiser took place in 2010 and Tractor Supply’s partnership with 4-H has raised more than $10 million as a result since then.

“The entire team at Tractor Supply is excited for the opportunity to team up with 4-H for the eighth consecutive year of paper clover fundraisers,” said Christi Korzekwa, senior vice president of marketing at Tractor Supply Company.

The clover campaign is held twice a year in the fall and spring. Roughly $900,000 was taken in during the fall of 2016.

4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization and is focused on the goal of empowering the younger generation in their current life and future careers.

“For more than 100 years, 4-H has empowered America’s youth with the skills to lead for a lifetime,” said Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO of the National 4-H Council. “The paper clover promotion gives even more young people the opportunity to benefit from a 4-H experience.”

About six million people across the U.S. are currently involved in the 4-H experience, according to a press release.

Tractor Supply is located off of U.S. 31 at 1001 Woodfin Lane in Clanton.
