Donald Francis McAfee

Mr. Donald Francis McAfee, age 85, a resident of Clanton, died Saturday, Feb. 11 at a local hospital.

Mr. McAfee was born on Dec. 27, 1931 to the late Charles Dewey McAfee and the late Minnie Alvis McAfee.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley G. McAfee of Clanton; daughter, Rhonda McAfee of Clanton; step-daughter, Alicia Dobbs of Birmingham; granddaughter, Renee (Scott) Underwood of Clanton; grandson, Ryan McAfee (Jacque) Easterling of Verbena; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Charles Major McAfee of Cullman; sisters, Dorothy Hancock of Cullman, Wynona (Billy) Hyde of Aiken, South Carolina, and Lawanna (Don) Greer of Cullman.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Robert Donald Easterling; brother, Leldon McAfee; and sister, Iva Lee Brown.

Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. from Martin Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Rob West, Rev. Barbara Brewi, and Rev. Larry Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Martin Memorial Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation was held on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton.
