William Richard Muncher

William Richard Muncher, 85, of Clanton died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017.

He was born on Sunday, Dec. 20, 1931 in Alabama, son of the late William Carl Muncher and the late Jessie Valerie Jackson Muncher.

He was a cattle farmer.

Surviving are daughters, Janice Muncher (Allen) Edwards of Clanton and Lori Muncher Cleckler of Clanton; grandsons, Jason (Renee) Edwards of Clanton and Travis Cleckler of Clanton; granddaughters, Shelli Edwards (Shane) Sansom of Clanton and Camille Cleckler (Chad) Chambers of Clanton; great-grandsons, Eli Sansom, Nicholai Cleckler, and Tyson Kelly; and great-granddaughter, Ava Chambers.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jo Taylor Muncher; sister, Mildred Smitherman; and parents, Carl and Jessie Muncer.

Friends were received from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 26 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services were held Thursday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with Rev. Tony D. Smitherman and Rev. Kenny Martin officiating.

Interment followed in Clanton City Cemetery, Clanton.
