The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects on a multitude of charges on Jan. 18.

Jeffery Wade Parks and Regina Leigh Price were placed in custody after CCSO deputies received a call for assistance from the Calera Police Department. After a vehicular pursuit, deputies reportedly discovered methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia and prescription pills in the suspects’ vehicle.

According to a press release, Deputy Ellison received the call from CPD for assistance on Alabama 155 and saw a vehicle matching the description of a black Ford Mustang. He turned his car around and attempted to stop the subjects, but they allegedly tried to evade him and turned down County Road 42 headed to Jemison.

According to deputies, the vehicle turned into the old skating rink on County Road 42 and the subjects allegedly fled on foot. Ellison caught Parks, who was driving, and deputies placed Parks and Price in custody.

According to court records, Parks faces 12 traffic charges and multiple drug charges. He also faces charges for resisting arrest, attempting to elude, reckless endangerment and second-degree assault.

Records indicate that Price is facing charges of attempting to elude, multiple drug charges and an open container violation.

Price posted a $4,750 bail. Parks is in the Chilton County Jail with a bond set at $11,250.
