Apolonia “Bernie / Mrs. Nan” Burnadette Ometer Butler
Apolonia “Bernie / Mrs. Nan” Burnadette Ometer Butler, age 81 of Clanton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29 at her residence.
She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 17, 1935. She was the daughter of the late, Anacito Ometer and the late Julianna Baroro Ometer. She was a longtime Wal-Mart associate.
She is survived by her husband, Mack D. Butler of Clanton; children, Beverly (Douglas) Morgan of Clanton and Wayne (Nancy) Butler of Fultondale; 11 Grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters; Eleanor Gugadan of Arizona, Sally Ypril of Hawaii, and Mary Caravia of Illinois; and a brother, Pete Ometer of Hawaii.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anacito and Julianna Ometer; son, Lennie D. Butler; daughter, Cheryl Jean Butler; and an infant son.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 1:15 p.m. from the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11-12 p.m. at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Southern Care Hospice for their care and kindness during this time.
